Well, well, well... late again ;)

Well I know I said I was going to try to get back to twice-a-month posts... but things got a little crazy.... I HOPE they are going to start calming down soon. I also know that I said before I would dedicate a little post to more on my mental health... but I'm going to put a pin in that and visit it later.
So... the craziness...

I was in a car accident on my way to work. I was rear-ended. I was at a full stop and the guy who hit me was going about 50 MPH. My car ended up being a total loss and I was sore for a decent chunk of time. However, most of you who know me know I'm not one to take off work for anything so I only took off the day of the accident... partially because I had no car to drive and I was in the emergency room... so yeah. There is that. It took over a week to get me in a rental, so that stressed me out. We finally settled on the car side of things, now we are still working on the medical side of things.
The stressful part of this was that we (my husband and I) worked hard to make sure all our vehicles were paid off going into this new year... We are in the process of building a new home and didn't want to have car payments going into our mortgage payment. Well, the world had a different plan for us.
I did end up getting a new car, just 5 days ago! Which I am SUPER excited about and I absolutely LOVE my car. I'm also thankful that we were in the position to be able to go out and buy a new car. I got the new 2024 Volkswagon Atlas and I LOVE it! So fingers crossed that doesn't cause any issues later down the road when it comes time to finish up the home stuff.

So yeah, we are in the middle of building a new home. It's actually right behind my mother's house so we will share a back fence, which is pretty cool. We are all very close to my mom and she's very involved in our family, so staying close in proximity was important to all of us. We are hoping to move into our new home in February-ish. We were pretty lucky that they started putting in a new sub-division behind her house and we were able to get the lot we wanted (which happens to also be the largest in the neighborhood), and we were able to put together a floor plan that we like and that fits our needs.
Now on to the end-of-year craziness (besides totaling my car and house stuff). We are running into the holiday season. The holiday season obviously comes with its own amount of craziness and busyness, but that also means costume crunch for me. At the studio, all our costumes have begun to trickle in and I finally got my order for all the rhinestones placed. I'm hoping to start on them next week. That means rhinestones will be my life for the next month and a half. I love doing our studio costumes and then seeing them on stage. It's very labor-intensive, but so much fun. What that also means is I won't have much time for anything else for the next 6-7 weeks. I'm going to try to keep up with the blog, but I'm not going to make any promises (until after the new year).
Ive also been trying to spend more time present for my son. Ive been so busy the last while that I have got to spend much time with him and I miss it (and I think he needs it). We have been going to the movies like crazy (we both enjoy that). While I really really enjoy doing this blog, I need to reorganize my life a little bit. I may end up taking this to a monthly blog vs twice a month, but we will see what the new year brings. I am for sure going to keep this up because it is therapeutic for me and I enjoy it, but the last few months have been very difficult for me (not the blog, just in life in general) and it has been hard to find the time to get something typed up, or sometimes I just didn't have it mentally in me. There is a lot going on in my life and my family that we have to get settled first, and that is my first priority. I don't want this to be a chore for me but something I continue to enjoy :)
On that note, I'm going to end this early because I need to get some things done around the house. Thanks for sticking through this with me. I hope to get on a more steady schedule after the new year. :)
Also, here's a few photos from our NYC trip and concert with Brozden :)
